Lucky Friday the 13th

I had a good work-out in the fitness room with weights and stretching.

Brad and Janice came at noon with lunch.  Janice warmed shepherd's pie that she served with a loaded salad of greens, berries and her own salad dressings.  I made tea.

Our major venture was to Walmart, especially for cat litter, which comes in heavy boxes.  Brad was a big help carrying a 40-pound box, which should last me quite a while.  We also picked up a number of other items. When we got home Brad opened the top of the box in order for me to scoop out the litter, instead of using the pour spout, which I am unable to use because I cannot lift the box.  Thank you, Brad and Janice, for your thoughtfulness.

I rested until it was time for Peter to pick me up for a members-only visit to the Domes for the Plant-itary Orbits Train Show.  It was a members-only event with members enjoying the display of trains traveling through outer space.

We stopped to listen to a dulcimer group. 

This is the first time that I visited the Domes at night; it was a very different experience.  I would like to see the train show again during the daytime to see more of the details of the exhibit.

We finished the evening with a nightcap at Sobelman's.
