Claude and I attended the 10:30 a.m. High Mass at this cathedral during our family weekend.
The robed choir from the choir loft (we did not see the robes until the end of the mass) sang a prelude in Gregorian chant.

About one hundred fifteen MARTA members and guests were at Meyer's Restaurant for our December luncheon. Other restaurants were becoming prohibitively expensive, but Meyer's was within our budget. Luncheon was served family style with chicken, pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing and green beans, with cheesecake for dessert.
Terry Lynch portrayed St. Nicholas and gave the history of this saint that influenced the traditions of today throughout many countries and cultures.

I felt only a mild tenderness in my left arm from the two vaccinations I received yesterday at CVS on Farwell Ave. I had no trouble sleeping and today I hardly feel the effects.
Abby drove us to the Milwaukee Art Museum for the Baders' Collection of fine art.

Peter and I finally got to see the skeletons at Holy Hill after some weather delays. Today was a sunny, crisp day after a surprise snowfall yesterday, with quite a bit of snow on the ground this morning causing numerous collisions. The area around the skeletons was still muddy, but worth the trip.
Because of all the rain and wind the trees didn't have the fall splendor, but this hold-out did not disappoint.
This year's theme was a bicycle race with perhaps 100 skeletons on every imaginable bike dressed in outlandish costumes, almost all wearing helmets.

Jay and Laura's Birthday gift to me was dinner at Bacchus, and tonight was the day to redeem it. Jay asked if I would like to have dinner at Char'd instead and include Anton. That was fine with me.
Jay, Laura and Anton picked me up on a drizzly evening and the owner welcomed us warmly; Jay and Laura had hosted him for dinner at their home previously. I had some coupons for complementary wine before ordering. We enjoyed an assortment of food and appetizers.
and Annika was able to pause from her serving to join us for a photo.
